OPOK Calls for Transparency in Limassol Fires

The Federation of Environmental Organizations of Cyprus (OPOK) expressed its regret regarding the parliamentary discussion on the fires in Limassol, stressing the need for transparency and accountability.
In a press release, OPOK stated that there was insufficient input from the responsible authorities and that environmental organizations were not given the opportunity to contribute with their proposals.
OPOK calls on the Parliament and the Government to ensure transparency, strengthen the participation of environmental organizations, and promote policies for prevention and crisis management.
