Limassol Municipality Boosts Cleaning Fleet with XM Donation

The Municipality of Limassol is strengthening its Cleaning Service with a new sweeper, donated by the company XM. The official handover took place at a special event at the Municipal Hall.

The Mayor of Limassol, Yiannis Armeftis, thanked XM for its long-standing support. The Municipality has increased funding for cleaning, exceeding 2 million euros in the 2025 budget.

Cleanups were carried out in more than 1,300 plots, and over 11,000 tons of waste were removed, including 3,000 tons from Aktaia Street. Additionally, 95 uninhabited houses were cleaned, and 116 new sources of nuisance were identified.

The representative of XM, Stavri Morti, emphasized the importance of supporting local communities by the private sector.
