NPT Cleared of Charges of Endangering Employees

Nicosia Public Transport (NPT) has been fully cleared of charges alleging that the company endangered its employees, according to Cyprus Public Transport. The decision was issued by the competent court.

In a statement, Cyprus Public Transport referred to misinformation and false claims published in the press on August 8, 2025. The court concluded that NPT had taken all necessary measures for safety.

The only violation found was the delay in issuing a written risk assessment, for which a fine of €4,000 was imposed. No other safety violations were identified.

NPT remains committed to the highest safety standards, continuously improving its procedures for the well-being of passengers, employees, and the public.
