Dead Cow Found on Paphos Beach

A dead cow was discovered on Lighthouse beach in Paphos on Monday morning (16/02/2026), causing concern. The discovery was made by a woman passing through the area, who publicized the incident via the RoadReport.CY Facebook page.

In her post, the woman stated that she contacted the Police, but was informed that there was no immediate response available. The post generated numerous comments, with many expressing shock and sadness. One user mentioned that similar incidents have occurred in the past, speculating that the animals may have died on cattle transport ships.

So far, there has been no official announcement regarding the origin of the cow or the actions to be taken.
