Measures to learn Greek for repatriates announced

The Council of Ministers has approved measures for learning the Greek language, aimed at supporting repatriates, within the framework of the Minds in Cyprus plan, as announced by the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou.
The measures include access for spouses to the Ministry of Education's Training Centers for Greek language courses, as well as free courses through the State Training Institutes.
In addition, the annual grant for children attending private schools is increased from €768 to €1000 in secondary education, while the eligibility criterion is reduced from 10 to 7 years of continuous permanent residence abroad.
Minister Michaelidou stated that these measures encourage the repatriation of talent, which is a goal of the Government.
