Lofou: 36 People Trapped on Bus Due to Fire

Thirty-six people are trapped on a bus in Lofou as the major fire in the Limassol district continues to rage. Police are seeking a route for their evacuation.

According to Lofou community leader Yannos Neophytou, despite early evacuation warnings, some residents remained in the community, which was surrounded by flames.

The Police sent a bus from Agios Ambrosios to pick up the 36 trapped people. The passengers are waiting to be taken to a safe location under police escort.
