Akrotiri Marsh: Closed Due to Foot-and-Mouth Disease Quarantine

Akrotiri Marsh, an area with wetlands and reed beds, is now closed to the public due to a quarantine. The decision was made by the veterinary services to protect the rare native cattle that graze in the area from foot-and-mouth disease.

According to an announcement by the Kourion Municipality, the road to Akrotiri Marsh will remain closed until further notice. Access to the orchards is via the M1 road.
