Nicosia: Woman Injured by Car Outside Church

An accident occurred in Faneromeni when an elderly driver, attempting to pick up his wife from a church, injured her.

According to reports, the driver apparently got confused and as his wife was trying to get into the vehicle, he reversed, hitting her. The woman was taken by ambulance to Nicosia General Hospital with a head injury.

In an attempt to stop, the driver continued his course, causing the vehicle to crash into a cafe window. Fortunately, apart from the driver's wife, there were no other injuries.

The incident happened in front of cafe patrons.
