Nicosia: 6-Year-Old Stable After Fall from Skylight

The condition of a 6-year-old boy remains serious but stable after falling from a 3rd-floor skylight in Nicosia. He is being treated at Makario Hospital.

According to the Police, the child fell from a height of approximately 9 meters while alone in the apartment. Neighbors heard the child screaming and alerted the authorities.

Dr. Christos Minas, a pediatric surgeon at Archbishop Makarios III Hospital, told CYPRUS NEWS AGENCY that the child's condition is serious but stable and undergoing examinations.

Authorities are investigating possible negligence on the part of the mother, who was absent due to work at a restaurant.
