The assessment of damages caused by the devastating fire in mountainous Limassol continues with approximately 20 teams, aiming to complete the process by Tuesday, according to the Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Elektra Panagiotou.

So far, damages to 238 residences and 124 vehicles in 15 communities have been reported. Most of the damages were recorded in Souni (100 residences), followed by Agios Therapon (36), Lofou (27), Vouni (23), and Vasa Koilaniou (13).

Ms. Panagiotou urged those who have not yet reported the damages to do so immediately. After the completion of the assessment, a damage evaluation will follow in cooperation with the Technical Services of the Ministry of Interior.

Many citizens are contacting authorities requesting compensation following the President's address, but the process can only proceed after the completion of the assessment.

18 teams from the District Administration are participating in the assessment, with reinforcement from the Larnaca District Administration.
