Limassol: Damage Assessment from Fire Continues

Approximately 20 teams are continuing the assessment of damages caused in mountainous Limassol by the recent fire. The Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Elektra Panagiotou, stated that the goal is to complete the assessment by Tuesday.

So far, damages have been recorded in 15 communities, affecting 238 residences and 124 vehicles. Most of the damage is located in Souni (100 residences), Agios Therapon (36 residences), Lofou (27 residences), Vouni (23 residences), and Vasa Koilaniou (13 residences).

Elektra Panagiotou urged citizens who have not yet reported their damages to contact the Limassol District Administration as soon as possible. She also mentioned that after the completion of the assessment, the damages will be evaluated in cooperation with the Technical Services of the Ministry of Interior.

The Larnaca District Administration assisted in the effort by providing personnel to support the assessment.
