According to witnesses, citizens were trapped in Agios Amvrosios and desperately seeking escape. A soldier cleared the road to Paramali, leading them to safety. This intervention is considered crucial, as Souni had already been engulfed in flames.

This act comes to light amidst reports of miscommunication and inaction by the responsible authorities, as stated by the community leader of Pano Kyvides in Parliament.
