Limassol: Intense Efforts to Restore Power Supply

Work continues to restore the power supply network in the fire-stricken areas of Limassol. AHK Press Officer, Christina Papadopoulou, stated that generators have been installed in seven communities, and power has been restored to nine communities through the grid.
75 burnt poles have been removed out of the 400 identified, with a total of 133 poles replaced. Five burnt transformers out of the 50 identified have also been replaced, and 3.5 kilometers of medium voltage overhead network have been constructed.
AHK is using drones to record damage in inaccessible areas. Special vehicles are also being used in these areas to open roads.
Cyta Press Officer, Lefteris Christou, stated that the operation of all mobile phone stations in the area has been restored, and work is now focused on the fixed network.
