Limassol: First compensations paid to fire-affected workers

The first compensations for salaries covering the period from July 23rd to August 31st have been paid to 126 workers affected by the deadly fire in semi-mountainous Limassol.
The amount, as announced by the Minister of Labour, Yiannis Panagiotou, is close to €140,000.
It was paid to 26 employers employing 94 salaried employees and to 32 self-employed individuals, mainly in the sectors of agriculture, livestock farming, catering, winemaking, tourism, and trade.
The remaining government support measures for fire victims are also being implemented.
