Limassol to Enhance Green Spaces with New Projects

The Municipality of Limassol is intensifying its efforts to enhance green spaces and upgrade the urban environment, aiming to improve the quality of life for citizens and address climate change.
According to a recent announcement by Mayor Yiannis Armeftis, the budget for parks, squares, and green spaces will increase by €2 million for 2025.
Extensive tree planting is planned on key roads, including Omiros – Grigoriou Afxentiou, Vasileos Konstantinou, and Apostolou Varna streets, as well as on Aktaia Odos. Additionally, three new parks will be created, and 89 existing parks will be upgraded.
Large-scale interventions are also planned, such as the creation of two green routes with a total length of 25 km connecting the city's neighborhoods, and the renovation of Anexartisias Street.
These interventions are part of a broader strategy for a more sustainable and resilient Limassol.
