Larnaca: Police Operation Against Illegal Labor ā Arrests and Fines
A coordinated police operation in the Larnaca district led to the arrest of 8 foreigners for illegal labor at a building under construction.
The operation involved members of YA&M Larnaca, the Police Headquarters, and other units, as well as officials from the Ministry of Labor.
A total of 33 people were checked, and 8 foreigners were arrested. Additionally, one of the four employers was arrested, while the remaining three were summoned for questioning.
The Inspection Service issued 7 notices for violations related to undeclared work and non-application of the Provident Fund legislation, totaling ā¬52,000.
Inspections will continue to combat illegal employment.
