Government Support for Limassol Communities After Fires

The President of the Republic announced the allocation of 890 thousand euros to the communities of the Limassol province, an amount donated by businesses for the July fires.

During a meeting in Pachna with community authorities of mountainous Limassol, President Christodoulides stated that the money will be used for projects chosen by the communities. Instructions were given to the relevant state services to provide assistance where needed.

The President emphasized the need to evaluate data and make decisions to reduce the risk of recurrence of such phenomena, noting that the government mobilized all state mechanisms to help those affected.
