Traffic Chaos Towards Troodos and Platres Due to August 15th Holiday

Traffic congestion is reported on the road network towards the mountains, due to increased traffic from holidaymakers for the August 15th holiday. Alphanews.Live recorded images from the Nicosia – Troodos road.

Police reported increased traffic from Deneia towards Troodos, as well as on the Limassol – Platres road, after the Lania area.

Drivers are urged to use alternative routes via Apesia – Korfi – Kapileio – Trimiklini and Kantu – Omodos – Mandria, to be careful and keep safe distances.
