Cyprus: Fines for smoking in cars – Two cases
Share on:

In Cyprus, smoking in a car is punishable in two cases, according to legislation that came into effect on October 1, 2020.

The two cases are:

  1. Driving with hands not free (due to smoking): €85 fine and 1–3 penalty points.
  2. Smoking in public vehicles or private vehicles with children under 18: €300 fine.

Passive smoking has negative effects on those exposed to it.
