Crete: Fire in Stadium Locker Room in Heraklion – Two Seriously Injured

Two people, a man and a woman, were seriously injured following a fire that broke out in a stadium locker room in the Ammoudara area of Heraklion, Crete.

The injured were rescued and are being treated while intubated at the University General Hospital of Heraklion. Three fire department vehicles and EKAV rescuers rushed to the scene.

According to initial estimates, the fire was caused by a fault in an electrical panel. The exact causes of the fire are under investigation.

An eyewitness reported that the woman was rescued unconscious, while the man had burns.

The fire was quickly brought under control by the Fire Department.
