Traffic Code: Fine for Reserving Parking Spots

According to the Traffic Code, occupying part of the road to reserve a parking spot is punishable by a fine of 350 euros.

Specifically, Article 52, paragraph 1 of the Traffic Code prohibits the temporary or permanent occupation of part of the roadway with facilities or obstacles, especially if it impedes traffic or the parking of vehicles.

Exceptions are allowed in extremely exceptional cases or in low-traffic zones within residential areas, with the permission of the Municipal/Community or Police Authorities.
