Lane Closures on Nicosia-Limassol and Anthoupoli-Akakiou Highways

The Department of Public Works announces temporary traffic arrangements due to roadworks on the Nicosia-Limassol (A1) and Anthoupoli-Akakiou (A9) highways on Saturday, March 14, 2026.

Nicosia-Limassol Highway (A1): From 7:00 to 12:00, road lighting column installation works will be carried out near the entrance and exit to the Idaliou Industrial Area. Towards Nicosia, the left lane and the exit to the Idaliou Industrial Area will be closed. Traffic will be diverted to adjacent lanes. Towards Limassol, the entrance from the Industrial Area junction will be closed.

Anthoupoli-Akakiou Highway (A9): Between 06:00-14:00, reflector washing works will be carried out on the central lane in both directions. The fast lane will be partially closed using a mobile crew method.

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inconvenience and urges the public to comply with temporary road signs and police instructions.
