Yellow Alert for Rain and Thunderstorms in Cyprus

A yellow alert for rain, isolated thunderstorms, and strong northeasterly winds came into effect from 7:00 AM on Saturday and will remain active until 7:00 AM on Sunday.
According to the warning, the weather phenomena are expected to affect the island at times, and the total rainfall is likely to exceed 55 millimeters locally within a 24-hour period.
Tonight, the weather will continue to be mainly cloudy with rain and isolated thunderstorms. In the event of a thunderstorm, hail is possible, and sleet or snow may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
Tomorrow, the weather will be partly cloudy and occasionally mainly cloudy, with local rain and isolated thunderstorms expected. In the event of a thunderstorm, hail is possible, and sleet or snow may fall on the highest peaks of Troodos.
On Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, locally increased cloud cover will be observed at times, which may bring isolated rain in the mountains after noon. From late Wednesday afternoon, local rain and isolated thunderstorms are expected.
