Yellow Heat Warning Issued as Temperatures Reach 41°C in Cyprus

Temperatures are expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius in inland Cyprus today, Tuesday. The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow warning in effect from 12:00 to 17:00.

According to a statement by the Department of Meteorology, the maximum temperature is expected to reach 41 degrees Celsius inland and around 33 degrees Celsius in the higher mountainous areas.

The weather will be mainly clear, but in the afternoon there will be locally increased cloud cover, with a possibility of isolated showers or thunderstorms in the mountains. The winds will initially be light and variable, force 3, becoming later mainly southwesterly to northwesterly, light to moderate, force 3 to 4.

The temperature will rise to 41 degrees inland, around 35 degrees on the south, east and north coasts, and around 33 degrees on the west coast and in the higher mountainous areas.
