Yellow Alert: Temperatures Up to 40 Degrees Celsius Tomorrow

The Department of Meteorology has issued a yellow alert for extreme maximum temperatures. The warning is in effect from midnight until 16:30 tomorrow.

The minimum temperature tonight is not expected to fall below 28 degrees Celsius inland and 26 degrees on the coast. The maximum temperature is expected to reach 40 degrees Celsius inland and 33 degrees in the higher mountains.

Tomorrow's weather will be mainly clear, with southwesterly to northwesterly winds, initially light to moderate 3 to 4 Beaufort and in the afternoon moderate to strong, 4 to 5 Beaufort.

The weekend and Monday will be mainly clear with local cloudiness at times. The temperature will drop on Saturday.
