Delays in Student Grants 2024-25: Concern and Disruption

Delays in the payment of student grants have caused concern and dissatisfaction among students and their families. Despite the start of the academic year, many eligible applicants have not yet received the financial aid.

For the first time, the application was submitted electronically, aiming to speed up the process. However, problems arose, leading to the delay. Applications were accepted from April 2 to July 11, 2025.

In communication with OmegaLive and the Grants and Benefits Service of the Ministry of Finance, it was announced that the payment of grants is expected to be completed by the end of September or early October. An official stated that there was a problem with the software and errors during the review of applications, which have now been resolved.

The review of applications began in August, and payments are made according to the application submission date.
