Motorcyclists' Protective Gear Grants to be Paid by End of August

The Ministry of Transport has announced that the payment of approved grants for the purchase of Protective Equipment for Motorcyclists is underway and is expected to be completed by the Ministry's Treasury by the end of August 2025.

The third phase of the Grant Scheme, with a total budget of €1,050,000 (€350,000 per phase), has been completed. A total of 1440 applications were submitted, of which 102 concerned motorcycles of "Low Power" and 1338 motorcycles of "High Power".

In total, 650 applicants responded and secured the grant, with 607 concerning "High Power" motorcycles and 43 "Low Power". The total amount to be paid is approximately €323,000.00, which corresponds to 92% of the available budget.
