Complaint about Unsuitable Transport to School for the Blind
Share on:

The Pancyprian Organisation of the Blind has denounced the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth regarding the inadequacy of the vehicle used to transport blind trainees from the free Famagusta area to the School for the Blind in Nicosia.

According to the Organisation, the problem has existed for over a year, with trainees complaining about the limited space, the problematic suspension of the vehicle, and the driver's dangerous driving.

A blind trainee was injured during transport to Nicosia and required medical treatment.

The trainees have suspended their participation in the School for the Blind program and refused to use the specific bus.

The Organisation demands an end to the violation of the rights of the blind and the replacement of the vehicle with a suitable and accessible one.
