Approximately 2,000 animals are at risk of becoming homeless and without care due to the potential eviction of the Paphos Animal Shelter from its current location. The shelter's manager, Eirini Diamantopoulou, expressed concern about the animals' future.

The land on which the shelter is located belongs to private individuals who wish to reclaim it for development. Ms. Diamantopoulou emphasized that the shelter operates solely on the support of volunteers, without government funding.

In an effort to raise awareness, volunteers are organizing a peaceful protest on Thursday, November 14th, at 10:00 a.m., outside the Paphos District Court.
