Electric Patrol Cars for Patras-Pyrgos Traffic Police

The Patras-Pyrgos Traffic Police has acquired a new fleet of electric patrol cars, as part of a collaboration between Olympia Odos and the Ministry of Citizen Protection. The first fully electric Traffic Police department in Ilia has been created.

Nine MG4 Luxury patrol vehicles and two Peugeot E-Expert investigation vehicles were provided. For vehicle charging, DC 120kW fast chargers were installed at the Pyrgos Traffic Police station and 22kW AC chargers at the toll booths.

Olympia Odos has installed fast chargers at Motorist Service Stations (SEAs) and is continuing the installation of new electric chargers, aiming for more than 70 charging points on the Elefsina-Patras section by the end of the year.

Electromobility is recognized as an important pillar of the green transition in Greece, with programs such as 'Kinoumai ilektrika' (Moving Electric) and targets for the electrification of road infrastructure.
