Adriana Nikolaou, the mother of the late Thanasis, in an interview on the show "With Love Christiana," described her pain and her struggle for justice, 20 years after her son's death.

Mrs. Nikolaou referred to the fears her son expressed while in the army: "He told me he was in the worst unit. He was afraid to even talk to us."

She also recounted the day she learned of his death. As she said, she was informed by the army that they were looking for Thanasis, and then she went to the camp. "There is so much lying, fraud, cover-up...", she stated, referring to the investigations into the circumstances of her son's death.

Mrs. Nikolaou described the tragic moments of recognizing Thanasis' body and her suspicions of a cover-up: "He had scratches on his hands and neck, his bones were broken... They rushed the funeral... The coroner carefully covered the injured leg." She denounced that the coroner Stavrianos denies that there was external bleeding.
