Limassol Fires: Damage Assessment to be Completed by Tuesday

Approximately 20 teams are continuing the assessment of damages caused in mountainous Limassol by the recent fire. The Deputy District Officer of Limassol, Hlektra Panagiotou, told the Cyprus News Agency (CYPE) that the goal is to complete the assessments by Tuesday.

So far, damages have been reported in 15 communities, affecting 238 residences and 124 vehicles. Most of the damage is located in Souni (100 residences), Agios Therapon (36), Lofou (27), Vouni (23), and Vasa Koilaniou (13).

Hlektra Panagiotou urged those who have not yet reported their damages to contact the Limassol District Administration immediately. After the completion of the assessment, the damages will be evaluated in cooperation with the Technical Services of the Ministry of Interior.

Additionally, the Deputy District Officer of Limassol mentioned that the Larnaca District Administration has provided staff to assist with the damage assessment.
