Fire in Tsada: Damage and Residents' Testimonies
A fire that broke out in Tsada, shortly after noon, threatened residences and caused the evacuation of settlements. The timely mobilization of the fire services, with the assistance of aerial means, was crucial in containing it.
Residents of the area described dramatic moments, emphasizing the speed of the fire's spread. "They knocked everything down, but thank God, the Virgin Mary saved us," one resident said characteristically. Other residents reported staying behind to help put out the fire. "If it weren't for the 4 people here, my husband, our 3 neighbors, these 4 houses would have burned down. Because how much can the fire department handle?"
The Community Leader of Tsada emphasized the immediate response of state services and the self-sacrifice of the land operators. The fire was brought under control in the evening, leaving behind approximately one square kilometer of burnt land. The fire department is investigating the causes, with initial indications pointing to an illegal dump.
