Jet ski operator rescued in Larnaca operation

A Search and Rescue Coordination Center (KSED) operation took place in the Larnaca sea area on August 17, 2025, to locate a missing jet ski operator.

According to an announcement, KSED activated the National Search and Rescue Plan "NEARCHOS" following information about a missing operator in the Mazotos area.

The operation involved vessels from the Port and Maritime Police, a helicopter from the Police Aviation Operations Unit, and a foot patrol from the Kiti Police Station.

The missing person was located and rescued by a Port and Maritime Police vessel at 14:25 and safely transported to shore.
