Rescue Operation at Cape Greco Sea Caves – Video

The Fire Service has released a video of the rescue operation at the sea caves of Cape Greco.

The JRCC activated the National Search and Rescue Plan “NEARCHOS” following reports of 4 people in danger due to a fall in the area. The operation involved an ambulance, Fire Service personnel, EMAK, a patrol from ADE Famagusta, a Coast Guard vessel, and a police helicopter.

The rescued individuals, including one injured person, were retrieved by EMAK and transported to Famagusta General Hospital.

The JRCC reiterates that approaching and diving in the sea caves at Cape Greco are prohibited due to hazardous terrain.
