The Guidance and Career Counseling program is expanding to 16 elementary schools, according to the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Athena Michaelidou. The expansion follows the pilot implementation of the program last year.

In her address at the press conference for the "SPOUDA-ZO" exhibition, Ms. Michaelidou stated that the Work Week program is returning to high schools, aiming to provide students with experience in the labor market and connect them with businesses and professionals.

The Minister emphasized that schools will provide information and empowerment to students, enabling them to make informed decisions about their educational and career paths. The Ministry of Education will also strengthen schools in career guidance, aiming for accurate information on studies and the labor market.

Ms. Michaelidou mentioned that projects and research are being implemented to connect higher education with the labor market, utilizing data from surveys such as the national higher education graduate monitoring survey and the European Graduate Survey "Eurograduate."

The "SPOUDA-ZO" exhibition is organized by the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth and the Pancyprian Confederation of Parents' Associations of Public Secondary Schools.
