Blood Supply Sufficient at Cyprus Blood Center

The Blood Center in Cyprus currently has a sufficient blood supply, according to statements made to ΚΥΠΕ by the Head of the center, Androulla Panagiotou.

Ms. Panagiotou thanked the public for the massive turnout of blood donors before the August 15th holiday, which contributed to this result.

However, she emphasized that daily needs amount to 350 units of blood, highlighting the need for continuous blood donation.

Ms. Panagiotou appealed to blood donors to continue donating blood so that there is sufficient supply to deal with emergencies. She also announced the operation of blood donation centers in shopping centers and squares in early September.

She reminded that blood donation centers are open until 8 pm.
