Blood supply sufficient in Cyprus, but continuous donations needed

The Head of the Blood Center, Androula Panagiotou, stated to ΚΥΠΕ that there is a sufficient blood supply, thanks to the massive turnout of blood donors before the August 15th holidays.

Ms. Panagiotou thanked the public and blood donors for their contribution, emphasizing that daily needs amount to 350 units of blood.

She appealed for continuous blood donation to cover emergency needs. In early September, blood donation centers will operate in shopping centers and squares. Blood donation centers are open until 8 p.m.
