Larnaca EOA Actively Involved in Foot-and-Mouth Disease Control Efforts

The Larnaca District Self-Government Organization (EOA) is actively participating in efforts to control the spread of foot-and-mouth disease, responding to the call of the Veterinary Services.

In a statement, the Larnaca EOA emphasizes that it remains fully prepared, contributing responsibly and in a coordinated manner to the national effort. Its teams are involved in prevention and control measures to limit the spread of the virus, in cooperation with the competent state services and local authorities.

Actions include increased spraying with privately owned equipment in the Tersefanou Livestock Area, with double shifts for continuous disinfection, as well as recording the entry and exit of all trucks from the area for strict control of movements.

"The immediate mobilization of the Organization aims to protect public health and shield the province against any health threat," the statement concludes.
