EOA: Inadequate Water Supply Without Pipeline Completion

The District Self-Government Organisation (EOA) estimates that the water supply to western Nicosia will remain inadequate without the completion of the pipeline in Vasiliko.

The EOA points out that the communities of Deneia, Anagyia, Mammari, Astromeritis, Solea, Ergates, Agrokipia and Orounta will continue to lack access to water from the central desalination units.

At the same time, it is requesting immediate funding from the state to upgrade internal networks and create flood control projects. The EOA warns that without state support, stormwater fees will increase significantly.

It also welcomes the measures taken by the Ministry of Agriculture to strengthen the water balance and add additional desalination units.
