13-year-old M.A. Found in Occupied Territories – Awaiting Return

The 13-year-old M.A. from Syria, who had been missing from his place of residence in Nicosia since August 6, 2025, has been located in the occupied territories.

According to a police update, the 13-year-old was found in the occupied areas and is in good health, following notification to the Police by the Bi-communal Contact Office.

The authorities are awaiting information regarding the intentions of the occupation authorities and the possibility of his return to the Authorities of the Republic.

Earlier, the “Hope For Children” CRC Policy Center stated that all information indicates that the child attempted to reunite with his mother in Turkey, "using illegal means."
