Allegations of electoral fraud and incidents of violence have surfaced following student elections at the University of Cyprus. Proodeftiki accuses Protoporia of attempting to cast extra ballots, a claim that Protoporia denies.

According to the president of Proodeftiki, Vasilis Theodorou, a member of Protoporia tried to cast more than five ballots shortly before closing. A member of the electoral committee intervened, the Protoporia member tore up the ballots and fled. Proodeftiki is demanding the annulment of the election process.

In a post, Proodeftiki denounced Protoporia for altering election results and demands that the process be stopped and the elections be canceled. Protoporia, for its part, calls the allegations of fraud ridiculous and accuses Proodeftiki of obstructing the electoral process.

The Student Front also denounced Protoporia for attempting to alter the election result, while Anagennisi spoke of an insult to the democratic process.
