New School Year Begins with State Support and Reforms

Government Spokesperson, Konstantinos Letymbiotis, wished a good school year, emphasizing the state's support for students and teachers through reforms and enhanced infrastructure.
According to Mr. Letymbiotis, staffing and infrastructure processes were organized in a timely manner for a smooth start to the year. Projects are being implemented to modernize school facilities.
Emphasis is placed on modernizing the Curricula and reducing the material. The Technical Gymnasium is being introduced on a pilot basis in Nicosia and Limassol.
For 2025-2026, the goals include a shift to skills, the implementation of the social worker institution in schools with delinquency, amendment of legislation on special education, strengthening the autonomy of school units and emphasis on mental health.
The State is preparing a policy for gifted children and upgrading Sports and Music Schools.
