Vaccinations Begin for Foot-and-Mouth Disease

The first vaccinations on cattle farms to combat foot-and-mouth disease begin today.

In a statement, the Veterinary Services report that a meeting was held at the ΖΗΝΩΝ Coordination Center to assess the epidemiological situation and coordinate the next steps, with the presence of experts, private veterinarians, and officials from the Veterinary Services.

During the meeting, a detailed update on the current situation was given, and the vaccination plan for the coming days was presented. The plan will be dynamically adjusted depending on the data that emerges.

The Veterinary Services assure that there is no problem with the consumption of meat and milk.
