Reconstruction Cost Assessment After Limassol Fire

ETEK (Cyprus Scientific and Technical Chamber) and professional organizations are collaborating with the Ministry of Interior to assess the reconstruction costs following the devastating fire of July 23rd in mountainous Limassol.
At a meeting held on August 5, 2025, progress was discussed and clarifications were provided for the rapid assessment of the restoration costs of the affected buildings. Konstantinos Konstanti, President of ETEK, emphasized the important role of the Chamber and other organizations in addressing the problems caused by the fire.
ETEK will prioritize the first homes that have been partially destroyed, so that the affected families can plan their lives again. This will be followed by completely destroyed homes and then the remaining properties.
