Estimate: 120 sq km of Ash in Limassol District

An initial estimate from the Eratosthenes Centre of Excellence at the Cyprus University of Technology, based on satellite data, indicates that approximately 120 square kilometers have been reduced to ash in the Limassol district due to the recent fire.

The assessment was based on low-resolution satellite imagery from the Sentinel-3 satellite, acquired on July 24, 2025. An updated analysis with higher resolution data is expected in the coming days.
