Forest Department Report on Limassol Fire Due Friday

The Forest Department is expected to deliver its report by Friday regarding its role in the efforts to extinguish the deadly fire in mountainous Limassol, as stated by its director, Savvas Iezekiil.

Speaking on State Radio, Mr. Iezekiil mentioned that the Forest Department has an opinion on the issue of coordination and will submit it in its report. He pointed out that the fire was unprecedented, with firefighters unable to withstand the thermal load even at a distance of 150 meters.

The Fire Service was in charge of coordinating the operation.
