Modernization of the dental profession in Cyprus

The Plenary of the Parliament voted on regulations to modernize the dental profession, establishing new dental specialties.

The new specialties include endodontics, pediatric dentistry, periodontics, and prosthodontics.

The aim is to upgrade dental science and protect citizens from inadequately trained dentists.

The regulations expand the required academic qualifications and recognize postgraduate qualifications and practical training in Cyprus.
