Progress on Government Support Measures for Mountainous Limassol

The government's plan to support the fire-stricken areas of mountainous Limassol is underway. According to the Presidency of the Republic, the plan is progressing with coordinated actions from all relevant Ministries, aiming for the immediate and complete implementation of the measures.
The measures include full restoration of residences, rent subsidies, temporary housing, and one-time financial support for households that have suffered damages. Additionally, financial support is provided for the restoration of vehicles and machinery, coverage of electricity bills, and exemption from community fees and taxes.
For businesses and employees, there is financial support to cover salaries, compensation for raw materials, and restoration of mechanical equipment. Support is also provided to farmers and livestock breeders for loss of income, as well as financial assistance to tourist accommodations.
In the affected communities, emergency financial support has been given to the Community Councils, while water and electricity supply have been restored. In addition, there is a grant scheme for the supply of generators.
Finally, plans include environmental restoration, waste management, flood protection works, and management of wild vegetation.
