Mitarakis Appeals for Financial Aid to Northern Chios

Notis Mitarakis, a Member of Parliament for Chios from New Democracy, has appealed for emergency financial assistance to the residents and businesses of Northern Chios, following the devastating fires.

In a Facebook post, Mr. Mitarakis stated that he has already conveyed the request to the government, emphasizing the need to support those affected.

Meanwhile, a new message was sent from 112 to evacuate the Parparia area, while the damage from the fire is estimated to be enormous.

In addition, a special platform has been created on the website of the Ministry of Climate Crisis and Civil Protection for submitting applications for temporary accommodation for fire victims. The platform was created in collaboration with the Hellenic Chamber of Hotels and operates in addition to the provisions of the Local Government Organizations.
